The 5th game of the season was played between Browne and Redstar at Caledon Park. Browne won the toss and opted to bat first. Some impressive bowling by Redstar at the start of the innings, tested the opening pair thus leading them to crumble under pressure and giving their wickets away. Redstar continued the momentum and scalped two more wickets. With the score line of 31/4, Browne was under pressure to reach a par score. A solid middle order partnership of 114 runs between Rajvinder and Majed helped Browne to reach a total of 206/9.
Browne was off to a decent start but with runs being conceded at a quicker pace. The captain handed the ball to Harjeewan, and he delivered by slowing down the run rate and also picking up 4 crucial wickets in his spell of 9 overs. Rajvinder continued his fine form with the ball as well by picking up 4 wickets for 37 runs.
An amazing performance by Rajvinder (73 runs, 37-4), Majed (56 runs) and Harjeewan (47-4) helped Browne defeat Redstar by 34 runs.
